A Knowledge Database for Applied Chemostratigraphy

About

About this website

Chemostratigraphy.com is a project that was started in 2021 to document common and not-so-common knowledge about elemental chemostratigraphy and related topics. The website is intended to become a knowledge database that is easy to use (and to maintain).

What is it about?

Obviously, it is about elemental chemostratigraphy. The main objective, however, is about giving some specific details on how to interpret geochemical data. These details, hopefully, will help to prevent some mistakes when applying seemingly established methods and techniques in data interpretation; some publications do not fully explain the correct application. The tips and hints here are based on thorough literature reviews and references back to the original publications.

How does it work?

The knowledge will be shared through ‘articles’ covering different and interlinked topics. These articles will have the format of blogs as on other websites. Such will enables easy maintenance, updates, and content generation which can be connected through internal links.

Hopefully, this approach will be of good use to all chemostratigraphers as a review and practical guide to those new to the subject.
